Obscure Giant Robots Week returns with a personal favorite of mine.

The planet Arst has been dominated by the monstrous Marder and his army giant humanoid combat robots called Panzers. A small rebellion has formed under the banner of young Prince Jordy, whose father was killed by Marder, and whose Mother sleeps forever frozen in a gemstone in Marder's Iron Fortress. Can Jordy fight back with the power of the mighty Panzer - Galient, and crush Marder's ambitions that seek to through entire galaxies into war?

A great bit of 80's anime, with a blend of sci-fi and fantasy - I highly recommend this to pretty much all of you. (I figure if you follow me, then there is a good chance you have similar tastes.) Check out the opening - [link]

I just recently heard of Galient, and have seen a few episodes of it on Youtube. And I'll say, its a pretty good show. It combines the giant robot genre with a touch of mideval fantasy.
