This pic has been a long time coming...

I am a huge fan of Getter Robo. I love alot of giant robot shows, but Getter Robo is easily on the top of that pile. The ADV release of Getter Robo Amageddon was one of my first DVD purchases, and is one of the most watched sets in my collection.

I stylized the proportions for Getter 1, going for more of a lanky figure. I also wanted to do the flats with heavy black shadows look that has popped up in Anime recently (See the wonderful film Redline...)

Thanks! One of the things I love about the classic Getter Robo is how you can easily interpret it in a thousand different ways. The later models, though bad ass, aren't as flexible.
