I've been wanting to redraw an old pic for a long time, but when I came across this old drawing while cleaning out my room earlier - I knew I had to do it.

I think this may be the oldest drawing of mine I have, and it is wretched. Just look at it. I remember when I was proud of this, when this was me drawing a woman and it looking "right".

As many of you probably know, I've been struggling to get good at drawing women for a while. I have a fairly solid grasp on it now, but still need to improve.

Still, I thought this might be amusing or some folks. A quick glimpse in my development.

Yeah, in high school I aped the hell outta my favorite manga artists. My last year of high school and start of college I started consciously trying to get away from that and do my own thing.

Such a huge difference and in a relatively short time. These are always nice to see and do--sort of a confirmation that there is development, even if it feels slow to you at the time. :)
