This movie was probably one of my earliest introductions to dark comedy. The strange and wonderful mix of dark gothic imagery and bright colorful madness made the movie pop visually, along with great jokes, and some genuine moments. (And one of the greatest themes in movie history. One that arguably has colored alot of Elfman's work since then.)
I wanted to do a mix of the movie and animated versions, and this was the result. I'm pretty pleased with how he turned out.
