HU 62 - Dragonzord by SeanRM HU 62 - Dragonzord by SeanRM
Morphinominal Week continues with the original bad-boy of the Rangers...

The Green Ranger was one of the many reasons why Power Rangers became the phenomenon it is/was. I still remember watching the five episode saga that was his introduction. A martial artist with skills that set him above the Rangers, powered by an evil coin, and master of a Zord that seemed to invoke Godzilla himself... What was not to love? Then after all the tense and dramatic moments, seeing him single handedly wreck the Rangers and the Power Chamber (Eat it Zordon!), we get this cool dude as a new hero? YES PLEASE!!

Bonus points to the guy behind the green, as even after becoming a good guy Tommy Oliver was still an interesting and likeable character. (You gotta admit, later good-turned-evil characters tended to become lame after the fact.) It is easy to see why the character has become a fan-favorite, and lasted well into the later series.

I really loved the Green Ranger, but he was easily overshadowed by another Ranger... But that will be a topic for another day.

The defining arc, and to many, the defining character of the series.

Best way to summon a Zord ever, too.

The Green Ranger really sold me on that show and convinced me it was must-watch TV. You've done a truly great job in bringing him to life. Plus, the iconic pose!

Your Dragonzord is impressive in its minimalism and imposing power. I love it!

So much to love here! What stands out for me is how you've balanced areas of intense detail (the blade) with areas of almost no detail (the Zord.)

Nicely done!
